tango is back in fashion in Bournemouth. Dorset. UK

 A hall in the centre of Bournemouth. Dorset. Where dancers and tourists  can practise from the afternoon into the early hours of the morning to Argentina's most distinctive musical style; the tango, milonga, vals and more.

A tall, dark-haired man scans the room, his attention rests on female tourists sitting alone or in groups waiting to be asked to dance.

He is not a tango, milonga, vals dancer or a lothario seeking easy prey. He aims to ensure no tango-milonga-vals loving tourist leaves Bournemouth, Dorset without twirling a few times around the floor.

"I learned all types of dances since I was 8 years old".

Lets dance the tango -milonga -vals as we grow older 'we get younger' and not let the milonga-tango-vals  go out of fashion.

Now the tango-milonga-vals has made a startling comeback. Boosted by the worldwide success of reality TV shows, radio and internet such as Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing with the Stars, Argentinians have rediscovered their tango roots and you are among those who should have started frequenting the tango-milonga-vals halls that still dot the city and the seaside of Bournemouth.

But with tourists and visitors and dancers flocking to Bournemouth and Dorset looking for a place to dance, we noticed that some returned home without having tangoed or valsed.

The milongas follow a pecking order in which only the best women dancers and smile are asked to dance. Approaching a man is heresy in the tango vals bible, and a tourist breaking this rule will be rebuked by an experienced dancer.

"Male tango dancers can be merciless," "They won't ask you unless they've seen you dancing already."

A couple of  years ago we realised here was an opportunity to provide a guarantee of some of the real tango-milonga-vals flavour without any of the attendant risks. Today we head a group of tango-milonga-vals dancers who want a night of real-feel tango.

As tradition has it when you celebrate your birthday with us, you will be the most wanted person on the dance floor for the length of  one full romantic argentinian tango.
